LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Anchor Bay Entertainment has acquired all rights to “Not Forgotten,” a religious thriller that screened at the recently ended 2009 Slamdance Film Festival.

Simon Baker and Paz Vega star in the Myriad Pictures production, which focuses on a series of murders involving La Santa Muerte, a death-worshipping religious sect popular in U.S.-Mexican border towns.

Anchor Bay, a division of Starz Media, will put out the film in limited theatrical release and plans a big home-video push.

The buy marks the second out of the Park City festival for the Overture Films sister company, following the outfit’s pickup of the Ashton Kutcher-starring “Spread.”
